State Senator Carolyn Nelson to seek re-election

(FARGO, ND) – State Senator Carolyn Nelson (Democrat – Fargo), announced today that she will be seeking re-election to the State Senate from District 21.

Senator Nelson released the following statement:

“I have been honored to work on behalf of the constituents of District 21 and I want to continue to work for them in the next four years.

“During my Senate tenure, I’ve worked with members of both parties to find common sense solutions to problems found in our urban district including tenant/renters rights, eldercare, property taxes, education, water control, and the business climate. I want to continue this work.

“I want to see North Dakota make the necessary future-focused investments in all levels of education: pre-K, K-12, and higher education. We also need to do more, and be smarter, about investing in infrastructure to keep our citizens safe and to maintain economic growth.

“District 21 has been my home for most of my life. I am asking my constituents and friends for their support so we can continue the progress we’ve made keeping in mind that there is still much to do. We can succeed only if we work together.” (END)
