Senator Calls on North Dakotans to Submit Their Favorite Original Photos

BISMARCK, N.D. – Senator Heidi Heitkamp today launched a new contest to replace her cover photo on Facebook. She called on North Dakotans to submit their favorite original photographs that best typify the state’s beautiful scenery and heritage.

Submissions will be posted on Senator Heitkamp’s Facebook page as they come in. In mid-September, one of the photographs will be chosen as the winner and it will become Senator Heitkamp’s new cover photo on Facebook.

“North Dakota’s landscapes and natural beauty are so unique to our state, and we take great pride in them,” said Heitkamp. “Today, I’m launching a Facebook photo contest to encourage North Dakotans to send in their favorite original photos of the state to celebrate our rich history and help others enjoy what makes North Dakota so beautiful. I hope North Dakotans throughout the state will participate in the contest.”

How to submit a photograph:

To submit photos, North Dakotans should send their favorite high quality, photo of North Dakota – which they took themselves — to press@heitkamp.senate.gov, and it could be featured as Senator Heitkamp’s cover photo on Facebook. Participants should include their name and where the photo was taken.
